Dr. Oakley Smith

Oakley Smith is one of Canada‘s best known rhinoplasty surgeons. He immigrated to Canada at a very young age and was encouraged by his mother to draw. Paper and pencils were always around.  His father occupied himself with spiritual matters, and the common good of the community. 

 

The confluence of Covid and the achievement of his career goals created a change in his personal situation and directed his energy towards sharing and communicating through art the joy experienced with the world. 

 

His work is an investigation of the order we impose on our chaotic interactions with reality. It explores his visions, as through a mirror darkly, of the contemplation of the mystics, and our ability to comprehend the glory surrounding us.
