The human mind often categorizes based on past experiences and learned biases, leading to confirmation bias. Yet, we can transcend these limitations by learning to see beyond the surface and appreciate what is different.

This piece began as a simple market find—an old painting of plain flowers. Through a process of refurbishment, it has been transformed into something current and subjective, prompting viewers to question what is real and what is fake.

Achieving this perspective involves exposing ourselves to diverse experiences and celebrating individuality. By engaging with people from various backgrounds, cultures, and identities, we gain insights into their unique ways of thinking and problem-solving. This enriches our understanding of the human experience and fosters empathy and compassion, essential for building strong relationships and creating an inclusive society.

Celebrating individuality nurtures creativity, innovation, and personal growth. To truly understand something, we must explore its depths, distinguishing between what is superficial and what is meaningful. This requires effort and practice—asking questions, listening actively, and challenging our preconceptions.

By embracing these practices, we can break down barriers and work towards a brighter future for all. This painting, with its renewed vibrancy and depth, symbolizes the power of seeing beyond the obvious and appreciating the richness of diversity and individuality.
